EXTRA Full Proposal Check Event 2020

In the context of the COVID-19 crisis, the European Commission has decided to postpone the deadline for the LEIT ICT calls to 17 June 2020. Ideal-ist, participating in the EU effort to fight COVID-19 and kickstart the economic recovery, has decided to organise an extra Full Proposal Check (FPC) event for this extended deadline for ICT & related calls in Horizon 2020.

Building on the experience of the previous FPC, the event will take place fully online and spread over 3 days from 25-27 May 2020.

The event is free of charge, however, slots are limited.

What to expect?

At the full proposal check (FPC) event you will receive in-depth feedback from experienced Horizon 2020 evaluators and National Contact Points (NCPs) on your advanced proposal drafts.
A full proposal check events offer you a chance to improve the quality of your project proposal based on feedback you receive .
Your full proposal check session aims to transfer useful knowledge and increase your chances for funding.

Which call topics are supported?

All H2020-ICT-2018-2020 calls with a deadline on 17 June 2020. A full list can be found below.

If time slots are available, Ideal-ist will consider other ICT related calls, such as the EuroHPC call, ICT in Societal Challenge 3 call, EIC Future Emerging Technologies calls and ICT in other Societal Challenges with deadlines in May-June-July.

Drafts with empty sections or empty tables will be disregarded.

You have 18 days to submit your expression of interest. The coordinator should fill out the form.

If selected, you will have to submit your final draft before 14 May 2020.

Procedure

Firstly: all participating experts will sign a confidentiality declaration.

Remote attendance only

If you apply for the FPC, you will be contacted by phone for a short interview, after which you will receive your attendance confirmation and further details on how to submit your proposal.

Ideal-ist will offer a remote evaluation for all participants (no on-site participation is possible). Experienced evaluators will meet with proposers online. The remote nature will require that proposals are sent electronically.

Who can take part?

The event will support proposals for ICT calls under H2020, with a deadline in June 2020. Participation at the event is for the coordinator (i.e. one person, mandatory) plus one representative from a project partner institution (i.e. one optional person, highly recommended to take notes). In exceptional cases, the coordinator may name a proxy to participate.

All participating experts and national contact points have signed a confidentiality declaration.

Selection of participants

Proposers who apply to participate at the event go through a case-by-case selection process. After their expression of interest via an online form, they will be contacted in the following days to assess the degree of completion of their proposals. Short-listed candidates will be invited based on the available places and the submission of a final draft of their proposal.


The deadline for expressions of interest is 07 May 2020.
The deadline for sending the final draft to be reviewed is 14 May 2020.

Who can attend?

The event will support proposals for ICT calls under H2020, with a deadline in June 2020. Admission to the event is for the coordinator (i.e. one person, mandatory) plus one representative from a project partner institution (i.e. one optional person). In exceptional cases, the coordinator may name a proxy to attend.


The evaluators do not check the eligibility of the proposers to submit a proposal for the topic. Therefore it is strongly recommended that the proposers have an abstract of their proposal checked by their National Contact Points (NCP).
